

The Waxing moon We define the waxing moon as the phase of the moon from the time the first moon shows her silvery crescent till the first night of the full moon. This is the time of month that corresponds to the maiden, and is in time for planting,growing, building,developeing,and strengthening areas in our lives the need attention, as well as physical areas such as an herb garden.The waxing moon drawing the energy into itself,pulling us up toward her silvery glow. The waxing phase is also the most auspicious time of the month to do drawings, bindings,and summoning spells, such as,prosperity and protection spells. 
The Full Moon The full moon is a time for action,a time for the fruits of our labors, and a time for giving thanks to the goddess for our bountiful harvest.If at all possible hold a ritual on the night of the full moon just to say thanks and keep up the good work. The Waning Moon 
The Waning moon is the period time withing the three days of the dark moon,the counter balance to the waxing moon phase.The waning phase is a time for pruning the harvest in your garden,be it physical or spiritual.This phase is the time for banishing those unwanted things in our livesbe it a boyfriend or some lover, or some bad habit we`ve developed.The crone shows us the way to the land of the dead during this time of month. By taking her hand and accepting that some things must die, we are able to grow spiritualy. The Dark Moon 
The Dark Moon is that three day period from the last silver of the moon to the first maidenly silver of moonlight, the moon hides her face from us during this part of the cycle.Use this period of the month to examine your dark self your shadow side.Some witches consider this a time of rest from spell.Let the crone lead you in studying your dark side and in understanding that this side of you is necessary in order to have a balance in your life.
